A greeting of sorts.

Hello there, we are a relatively new subtitling group who are here to bring you Toku in English. Now I say relatively since although the name we're under now is different and new, we used to be called "Hero Subs" we no longer own this URL and it's being used by a different individual for different reasons.

You may know us as we used to subtitle Armor Hero XT a Chinese Tokusatsu TV show, that didn't work out well as our translators had to unfortunately quit for personal reasons. Since then we have a new team which exists solely of me yes one person is going to translate, edit and subtitle the episodes for Kamen Rider. While I may not know any Chinese since that was handled by our old translation team, I do know Japanese so we look forward to hearing from you all again.

P.s. this means posts for Zero One will not have a specific schedule, as I am just one person currently. But I'll do my best to post early!

    1. I will certainly add this to the list of projects we are looking to consider.

    2. Is there a reason you are subbing something that two other groups already are? I mean you do you, but why not sub a series no one else has?

    3. Just a hobby and a third offering I guess, is there anything you'd like to see that nobody else has subbed yet?

Different person here, but I've been looking for a translator to help tackle a variety of toku projects that other groups are unlikely to cover, from criminally-unsubbed classics to obscure/indie gems. In your downtime from MetsubouSubs releases, would you perhaps be interested in being in charge of translation if I were to create pre-timed scripts and subsequently QC?

I can definitely consider it Tako, what projects would you specifically need help with?

    6. All sorts, really; I just want to work on classic shows that I think deserve to be more widely-known, like:
      -Toho's low-budget-but-really-rather-fantastic 'CyberCop'
-a bunch of P-Productions series including the first televised kyodai hero, 'Magma Taishi'
-various lesser-known Tsuburaya shows like the Gerry Anderson-esque 'Mighty Jack'.

Other than that, I'd be interested in tackling some of the oft-overlooked comedy toku such as 'Guruguru Medaman' and 'Katteni! Kamitaman', along with a plethora of interesting-looking local hero shows, indie films and even a few tokusatsu-inspired adverts.

The list goes on - basically anything that's an unlikely target for other groups and that I can find people interested in working on.

  2. Hi there, thank you for your efforts and hard work. I used to be in a group, I know how much work it is. Hopefully your group would tackle some projects of older shows unlikely to be ever subtitled via licensed. I am partial to Tsuburaya releases and P-Productions. It would be great to see subtitles for Kaiketsu Lion Maru, Fuun Lion Maru, anything from P-Productions. Anything from Tsuburaya that hasn't been licensed like Ultraman has already been taken care of. And maybe a offbeat gem, such as kyoufu no miira, only 12 episodes. I have a long DVD list and could possibly help in some manner providing raws.
